“When in Rome, live as the Romans do; when elsewhere, live as they live elsewhere.” – St. Ambrose. Our interpretation of this astute quotation is – since gelato was created in the 16th century, for, no less a being than Catherine dei Medici, and we’d love to live like a Medici, we must eat all Read More …

Two words: ESCAPE GAMES! We played a couple of different Escape Rooms this time in Budapest. Wicklewood from Claustrophilia was fantastic. We were just inches from getting the final key out – we needed about 30 more seconds and we would have been triumphant. The Pirate Cave is even cooler. It is heavily themed and Read More …

We are staying at the Onyx Hotel. I like it because the people are super nice. The two main things we did in Boston were walking on the Freedom Trail and visiting some of the schools in Cambridge. Today, we went to the top of the Sky Tower. Did you know it is the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere? On the top floor, you can see everything in Auckland. We were surprised to see a skydiver fall past the windows and land on the landing pad on the ground. We also found Read More …

Happy Easter! I was delighted about 2 things. #1 being that the Easter Bunny left us chocolate when we are on the road. And, #2. That we got chocolate in a Jewish household. Even better, it was chocolate from Haigh’s, my favorite Australian chocolate, no less. For Easter, we sat in the Apple store for Read More …
