I know, I know. Dal isn’t very Czech, but, but, it was the BEST Dal we’ve ever tried! Thanks, David, for the recipe!
Lentil Dal – about 5 servings
200 g lentils soaked and cooked, oil, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp black mustard seed, garlic, 1 onion, 2 carrots, ½ Article 1 tsp curry or garam masala, 3 small tomatoes or puree (can be both)
Pour into warmed oil cumin and black mustard seed. Fry until begins to crack. Add the chopped garlic, onions, after a while, sliced carrots and sauté together. Season with curry powder or garam masala, salt and finally we chopped tomatoes and / or tomato paste.
Toss with cooked lentils, Add salt as needed.
Serve with pita bread or rice, a spoon of yogurt
