Serbia has at least one great hotel in Nis. Since we were only there for one night, that was basically all we saw. For our one outdoor excursion, we went to see the Tower of Skulls. I would only recommend going if you are staying right near it, as most of the so called tower has been destroyed. My favorite part of Serbia was seeing which hotel we were staying in. We arrived and saw an ultramodern staircase leading into a tastefully done lobby and later a beautiful room with a king sized bed and a great bathroom. My least favorite part of Serbia was that people were allowed to smoke INSIDE restaurants. Yuck.
