Today we went to the Hot Water Beach in Coromandel. Coromandel is a little peninsula that sticks off of the east coast of New Zealand. At high tide, it is the Pacific Ocean. At low tide, you can dig holes in the beach that bubble up as hot water. it is geothermally heated. Some of it is so hot that you can’t even sit in it, but most of it is like a hot bathtub temperature.
We had a shovel and we dug around in a few places, but, the water came up cold. I finally made a hot pool and my mom and dad wouldn’t get in it. :(. Then this woman came and took up my whole, pool, so, I went in the hot pool with my parents.
