In Kake, we met Michael Jackson. He is alive and he is a Tlingit woodcarving master. He carves totems. He lives in Kake.
He was also in a dancing presentation with other people from Kake.
We also got to see the world’s tallest totem pole.
We also went to a salmon hatchery and there were millions and millions of salmon. They went all the way from little eggs to the ones that are coming back up the river for spawning. They die after they lay their eggs. We saw a lot of bears on the edge of the river catching salmon like crazy.
We saw a mama bear with 3 little baby bears too.
