It was a 3 hour drive from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay. We got to the dock and, 20 minutes later, we were cruising around the bay. Our ship is called the Valentine. Unfortunately, this boat trip is only one day. The food is good on the boat. Did you know there are 3000 islands here?
After lunch, we went kayaking through a cave and came out the other side into a huge cove.
It looked almost untouched, and the size of it was astounding. We even saw a few monkeys scampering up the limestone cliffs.
The next morning, we went to the Surprise Cave.
You may be thinking why is it called the Surprise Cave? Well, I am here to tell you that the surprises are shapes in the stone. There was King Kong, 2 dragons, and for some reason a finger that was very unconvincing. There was even a turtle that you rub for good luck.
