San Sebastián has a beautiful beach. It was windy and rainy for most of the time we were there so we had to find a way to occupy ourselves. This usually means eating.
Almost every place we went, even a sushi bar, had tapas. In San Sebastián, they are called Pintxos. I dislike tapas. They are so small, you need to order twelve dishes to satisfy your hunger. After two of the same dishes, they get old, and there is the same food in almost every restaurant. I saw a lot of open sandwiches on almost every bar and they were all really crowded. The good places also have hot Pintxos that you order from a menu. One restaurant, Viento Sur was very yummy. Also, Elosta, the sushi place was good. Everywhere else was similar to each other.
The other weird thing is that 95% of the restaurants all serve Spanish food which has a lot of pork and squid and octopus in it. If you do not eat those, it is hard to find food, even with all the restaurants. My favorite place was the Quebec Cafe.
Over all, the food isn’t that good.
